Integration Engineer
Kyte is a game changing social communications platform combining user generated content, social networking and mobile services. We’re seeking a passionate software engineer to play a key role in helping 3rd party companies to integrate Kyte into their systems.
Reporting to our Senior Vice President of Engineering and working closely with our server development team, you’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining showcase websites as well as acting as a first line of support for 3rd party integrators.
Funded by the founders of Skype and the VCs behind Hotmail and Overture, to name just a few, this is a rare opportunity to get involved at an early stage and help shape the future of social communications.
The position is full-time and you’ll be working out of our offices overlooking Union Square in San Francisco.
Responsibilities Include:
- Acting as the first line of support and point of contact for 3rd party implementers of our APIs
- Working with the guidance of our design team to implement and update our Kyte.tv showcase website
- Working with our server team to document and clarify our backend APIs
Requirements:
- 3+ years of programming experience including experience integrating Web 2.0-style APIs
- Recent programming experience in HTML, XHTML, and Javascript, as well as experience in PHP, Java, Flash (Actionscript), Ruby (Rails), and/or .NET languages
- Thorough understanding of XML and JSON encoding
- Experience working with REST and/or XMLRPC style RPC API’s
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with 3rd party integration partners as a representative of the company
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communications (English primarily, fluency in German, French, Italian, Czech, or Spanish is a bonus)
