Late night LYTE

Almost September’s Channel launched yesterday, and their central personality, MC Lyte – a legendary hip-hop lyricist – recorded her first Kyte video late last night in Los Angeles.

Tired but still spunky, Lyte rocked out on Kyte with her retainer!  Soon after, she and other Almost September artist Jared Lee began text chatting and raving about Kyte’s technology.  They plan on launching more interactive content to their channel – including live events to their fans!

NEXT WEEK on June 3rd, 4th, and 5th – their Myspace page will be featured on Myspace’s login page and their Featured Artists section.  Stay tuned as they continue to load their player with more content!

After sending the Kyte San Francisco team to Europe for months of linguistic research - savoring tapas in Barcelona, exploring the hills of Provence, and soaking in the waters of the Italian Riviera - we are happy to announce that Kyte is available in Spanish, French and Italian!  These languages are in addition to the previously supported English, German, and Czech.  If you find any issues with the translations, please let us know.

Kyting the Red Carpet at Germany’s Comet 2008

Viva Switzerland’s VJ Robin kyted this year’s Comet - a German music prize for national pop acts. From the red carpet to the backstage area, Robin got close to acts like Tokio Hotel, Switzerland’s newcomer Stefanie Heinzmann, Germany’s top act Bushido or Marc Terenzi from the US boy band Natural. It was great to see not only what’s happening in front of the TV camera but all that was going on backstage - captured with a Nokia N95 and Kyte Mobile.

They reward fans for watching their shows, by premiering knew songs and give teasers for their new videos.
