New Kids On the Block Kyte Their Comeback

New Kids On The Block are back!  And they’ve launched a branded Kyte channel to document their comeback.  The group Kyted their recent promotional trip to the UK, including an in-store appearance at HMV.  One lucky fan got to sit down and talk at length with the group after she won a user-generated contest in which fans uploaded video to the group’s Kyte channel demonstrating why they are the biggest NKOTB fan!

Fans can watch the New Kids On The Block Kyte channel on their own social network, blog or web site by embedding the channel via the “Get & Share” tab at the bottom of the player.

ServiceNation Summit broadcasts live using Kyte

ServiceNation Summit, a two day conference that focuses on citizen service, is using Kyte to provide online viewers with live coverage of the event.  The ServiceNation Kyte channel has been embedded on social networks, blogs and other media websites, including MTV’s community site, Think.MTV.com , allowing viewers to watch the conference in multiple online destinations.

Several politicians and celebrities have spoken at ServiceNation Summit including Barack Obama, John McCain, Usher Raymond and Alicia Keys.  Stay tuned to the ServiceNation Kyte channel for more live coverage from the conference. Pussycat Dolls Launch Kyte Channel

The Pussycat Dolls have launched their own branded Kyte channel and have been giving fans exclusive, behind the scenes footage including their rehearsal before the MTV VMAs, the making of their new video with Missy Elliot, and backstage at the Jimmy Kimmel show.  The girls have been using their Kyte-powered Nokia N95 for live streaming, and have also uploaded pre-produced webisodes with pre and post roll ads —demonstrating the flexibility of the Kyte Platform.  The Pussycat Dolls’ Kyte channel includes banner links to their fan community site, merchandise store, and MySpace page.

Now that’s what I call Doll Domination!

Kyte Nominated as Popkomm IMEA Finalist!

We are very excited to announce that Kyte has been nominated as a finalist for the Popkomm Innovation in Music and Entertainment Awards 2008

Now in its 4th year, Popkomm IMEA, recognizes the best new business ideas, the brightest entrepreneurs and hottest companies in the worldwide music, media and entertainment technology sectors.  CEO Daniel Graf will present on behalf of Kyte at the awards ceremony on Oct. 8 in Berlin, where the winners will be announced.

Metal band Lamb of God live streams recording sessions for new album

Metal band Lamb of God is using Kyte to live stream the recording sessions for their new album.  The band is live streaming for over 12 hours a day, for 9 consecutive days, providing fans with a continuous view of the band’s studio sessions.

Lamb of God set up two Web cams, and utilized the Kyte “channel changer” feature to allow fans to switch back and forth between the “Drum Cam” and “Mix Cam” all within single a Kyte Player.  Rock on!
