Kyte Brings a Face to Radio

Posted by: Marisol Segal    Under: Partners |

Several of the nation’s top radio stations are using the Kyte Platform in innovative ways to grow their online presence, better engage with listeners, and add value for advertisers.

KCRW, KROQ and Power 106 in Los Angeles; z100 in New York, and KMEL in San Francisco, are a few examples of radio stations that have launched branded Kyte channels.  These stations are using the Kyte Platform in a variety of ways —from live streaming interviews with in-studio guests, to user generated fan contests that promote station concerts and events.  Fans can watch the channels on the station web sites, or on social networks, blogs or mobile phones.

KROQ incorporates user generated content into its branded Kyte channel and allows fans to upload photos from KROQ sponsored concerts and events:

Power 106 runs sponsored banner ads in its branded Kyte channel:

KMEL frequently live streams interviews with in-studio guests:

And KCRW, the leading National Public Radio (NPR) affiliate in Southern California, has used Kyte for their summer pledge drive and to cover the Democratic and Republican National Conventions.

These are just a few examples of how stations are bringing a face to radio with the Kyte Platform.  We hope these examples will help spark ideas on how your station can utilize Kyte!
