Kyte Adds DoubleClick DART Integration and New Features to Kyte Platform

Hey Kyte fans, we are very excited to announce some powerful new features on the Kyte Platform that will broaden our partners' monetization opportunities, increase the distribution of their branded content, and provide more flexibility for customizing the Kyte Player.

DoubleClick DART support

Partners’ branded Kyte channels can now be configured to serve ads from a DoubleClick DART ad server.  Deliver relevant ads with Kyte shows and monetize branded content.

Splash Ads

Partners now have another ad type to incorporate into their branded Kyte channel. Splash ads, which overtake the entire Kyte Player upon initial channel load, can be configured at the account or channel level. For a full list of the supported ad types on the Kyte Platform, please click here

RSS Reader

Partners can include an RSS feed as a header link in their branded Kyte channel, providing more value for channel viewers and increasing the distribution of branded content (e.g. blog, news, etc.)

Comments & Ratings

Partners now can include comments and ratings within their Kyte channels, enabling viewers to provide feedback on a specific show from directly within the Kyte Player

Player Customization

Partners can now customize the Kyte Player in the following ways:

Colors

Change the colors of the Kyte Player to match the look and feel of the brand

Show/Hide Player Functions

Player function tabs such as “Produce,” “Viewer Count,” or “Menu” can be removed from the channel

Full Screen

The Kyte Player can now be displayed at the maximum size of the viewer's monitor by clicking on the full screen icon at the bottom of the Player

American Idol winner David Cook has launched his own branded Kyte channel!

David has been hard at work since winning American Idol, touring the country and working on his self-titled, debut album, which hit stores on Nov. 18. He's using his Kyte channel to interact with fans and to keep them updated on the album's progress.

And in his first Kyte show, David lets a little secret out of the bag — he will be performing on Saturday Night Live on Nov. 1, very cool!

Be sure to tune in to David’s branded Kyte channel for more updates and exclusive content — who knows, maybe Paula, Simon, or Randy will make a cameo appearance.

Alicia Keys launches branded Kyte channel!

Grammy award winning singer, and actress Alicia Keys has launched her own branded Kyte channel!

Currently on tour in Europe, Keys produced her first Kyte show from Bratislava, Slovakia. Fans were also treated to a live performance of her hit song “No One” on the channel.

One of the hardest working women in show business, Keys will be starring in the new movie, “The Secret Life of Bees,” the movie adaptation of the best-selling novel by author Sue Monk Kidd. The movie opens nationwide today.

First Ever Film Debut on Facebook Powered by Kyte

Woodshed Films is using the Kyte Platform to broadcast its new surf movie, One Track Mind, on Facebook — the first film to ever debut on Facebook!

Fans can watch the movie on the One Track Mind branded Kyte channel on Facebook Film.

Consumer brands Patagonia and Etnies are co-sponsoring the film’s premiere, and the One Track Mind Kyte channel includes banner links to the Patagonia and Etnies websites, demonstrating how a brand can monetize its content.

Woodshed Films will utilize the Kyte Platform’s multimedia chat feature and host a live chat with film director Chris Malloy today at 5:30 p.m. PT. Rad!
