German outlet uses Kyte Platform to broadcast election coverage
Posted by: Ulysses King Under: Partners |N24, the leading television news channel in Germany, utilized the Kyte Platform to provide its audience with coverage of the U.S. presidential election.
Armed with Kyte-powered Nokia N95s, N24 anchors traveled to Chicago and Phoenix and used the Kyte Mobile Producer application to cover the election proceedings.
This marked the first time that a major television news outlet provided anchors on location with Kyte phones to cover a major news event!
The N24 audience took notice, with the channel receiving over half a million views in just under 2 days since it launched!

Media outlets Kyte Election ‘08
Posted by: Ulysses King Under: Partners |Well, the day is finally here! And no matter the outcome, history will be made. Media outlets across the globe are broadcasting election coverage on their branded Kyte channels, providing viewers with live footage from polling stations and election events.
Denver Post, NPR affiliate KCRW in Los Angeles, Huffington Post, and German media outlet N24 are a few of the media organizations that have already begun Kyting this historic election.

John Legend takes fans behind the scenes on Kyte channel
Posted by: Ulysses King Under: Partners |Soul singer John Legend has been treating his fans to exclusive, behind the scenes content this week as he celebrates the release of his new album, Evolver.
Legend produced his first Kyte show from his dressing room at BET Studios as he was getting ready for his appearance on 106 & Park. He then Kyted a live performance of his hit single “Green Light” on the David Letterman show. And today, actor Paul Rudd of Clueless, Knocked Up, and 40 Year Old Virgin fame made a cameo appearance on Legend’s channel.
In just 1 day since he began using Kyte, Legend has received over 130,000 views of his Kyte channel and fans from the UK to the US have been embedding the channel on their social networks, blogs and web sites.
Legend’s Kyte shows are a great example of how an artist can easily produce authentic, exclusive content and engage with an audience of fans in multiple destinations simultaneously.

Q-Tip Chats Live with Fans on Kyte Channel

Q-Tip has been giving fans exclusive, authentic, content on his Kyte channel, including practice sessions with his band and live performances. Today, he used the Kyte Mobile Producer application to chat live with fans, right from his kitchen!
His new album, “The Renaissance,” drops on Election Day, November 4, but during the chat he tells fans to check out iTunes and Rhapsody tomorrow for a special surprise. Might the album be released a bit early, hmmm? We shall see, but keep tuning in to Q-Tip’s Kyte channel for more exclusive, authentic content.

Kyte Adds DoubleClick DART Integration and New Features to Kyte Platform

DoubleClick DART support
Partners’ branded Kyte channels can now be configured to serve ads from a DoubleClick DART ad server. Deliver relevant ads with Kyte shows and monetize branded content.
Splash Ads
Partners now have another ad type to incorporate into their branded Kyte channel. Splash ads, which overtake the entire Kyte Player upon initial channel load, can be configured at the account or channel level. For a full list of the supported ad types on the Kyte Platform, please click here

RSS Reader
Partners can include an RSS feed as a header link in their branded Kyte channel, providing more value for channel viewers and increasing the distribution of branded content (e.g. blog, news, etc.)

Comments & Ratings
Partners now can include comments and ratings within their Kyte channels, enabling viewers to provide feedback on a specific show from directly within the Kyte Player

Player Customization
Partners can now customize the Kyte Player in the following ways:
Colors
Change the colors of the Kyte Player to match the look and feel of the brand

Show/Hide Player Functions
Player function tabs such as “Produce,” “Viewer Count,” or “Menu” can be removed from the channel

Full Screen
The Kyte Player can now be displayed at the maximum size of the viewer's monitor by clicking on the full screen icon at the bottom of the Player
