Black Planet - Wired For Battle with Kyte

Kyte has a new partner in the social networking universe, BlackPlanet , the fifth largest social network - and member of Radio One’s Community Connect.  Today BlackPlanet kicked off a fun, user generated campaign for their members called “Wired for Battle.” The millions of BlackPanet members are encouraged to give it their all and submit video of themselves singing and performing on the BlackPlanet Kyte channel.  This “online music competition” will be held in conjunction with Black Music Month 2008!  Members will be allowed to submit videos from June 6th through the 20th.  Then voting will open up to members from June 23rd though July 14th with eliminations every Monday and Friday weekly.  July 18th will wrap up the competition and the winner will receive:


* - A full page ad in GIANT MAGAZINE
* - A Featured Interview on BlackPlanet.com & GIANTMAG.com
* - Additional prizes may become available at a later date

OK, not exactly...but they are looking for the best lip synchers to submit video on Power House TV - their new branded Kyte channel, which is open to fans to submit videos.

Power 106, Southern California’s #1 hip hop radio station with over 1.5 million listeners per week, has launched a video contest for its listeners to win backstage passes to the upcoming Power House ‘08 concert.  Check it out here: http://www.power106.fm/powertv/
