Kyte seeks a qualified sales executive to drive new and existing business with entertainment brands and digital ad agencies. We’re looking for a results-oriented sales pro with a proven track record, media industry knowledge and technical acumen.

The position is full-time and you’ll be working out of our offices overlooking Union Square in San Francisco.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to demo, articulate and sell the Kyte value proposition to prospects

The Role

Kyte’s platform is poised to redefine the future of digital media, and the company seeks a proven and experienced sales executive to drive this critical growth stage.  This executive will serve as an integral part of the management team.  S/he will lead global sales team and sales operations.  Responsibilities include generating and closing new business with top tier media and entertainment companies, online publishers and digital ad agencies. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a track record of success in a similar situation, strong team management experience, media industry knowledge and technical acumen. 



Candidate Profile

The ideal profile for this executive will require a minimum of 8+ years of relevant sales and sales management experience.  The SVP, Sales & Business Development will be responsible for growing and managing the global sales organization.  S/he must have a track record of developing criteria for qualifying sales pipelines, developing/articulating relevant value propositions and creating sales pricing models. S/he is known for recruiting and mentoring successful results orientated sales teams.

The successful executive must maintain an up to the minute knowledge of market and competitor trends across our sector, contributing strategic industry insights to the rest of the Kyte management team.  In turn, s/he will work closely with marketing to develop Kyte’s value proposition, competitive landscape and product positioning.  S/he must effectively manage communication with the product, professional services and marketing teams. 

Responsibilities

The SVP, Sales will manage all aspects of the sales organization, including oversight of sales operations/administration.  Additionally s/he will work closely with marketing, product management, product development and technology. S/he will implement a best in class sales methodology and utilize appropriate metrics to continuously improve the sales process.  S/he will drive the development of the global sales operation and best practices, including customer and partnership agreements, Salesforce.com CRM, customer engagement process, team quotas and partner incentives.  This executive will also be responsible for creating a compensation model that drives effective sales/revenue generation behaviors.

This executive is business development focused, and will drive revenue through creation of channel partnerships, direct sales, team mentorship and management.  S/he must construct, qualify and maintain a robust and dynamic pipeline, focusing on scalable accounts, optimizing deal conversion rates and delivering margins / deal profitability.  S/he will seek out, generate and close deals at the highest levels by developing key customer relationships, especially with the world’s leading media/entertainment companies and consumer brands/agencies.

Also critical is this executive’s ability to work closely with product and engineering teams internally. S/he must have strong technical competence and be able to articulate both business and technical challenges.

The ideal executive will possess a hands-on, natural leadership style with the demeanor, business maturity, intellect and integrity required to establish immediate credibility with clients and the internal team. 

This executive must be execution orientated and operationally focused with strong sales management experience.  S/he will have excellent business acumen and proven experience in revenue generation across various digital platforms. The successful executive will be able to solve problems and bring timely resolution to issues.  S/he must be collaborative with the ability to build cross-functional and cross-divisional relationships.  S/he must have strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple situations concurrently. 

Additionally, relevant enterprise platform software industry experience, ideally in B2B or enterprise software is required.  Further, as Kyte scales to become a truly international organization, our chosen candidate will be expected to travel extensively.
