Frequently Asked Questions
Why can’t I download the Kyte Mobile client even if I have a supported phone?
If you have a Sony Ericsson phone, you might need to change some of the settings. First, check to see if your phone is set to the correct date and time. If you still cannot download the application, you may need to change some of the settings on your phone, especially if you purchased an unlocked phone. Here are the instructions to set up the settings for an unlocked Sony Ericsson phone:
Click here to go to the Sony Ericsson configurator webpage to find out the settings for your phone.
- * Select your phone model
- * Click on 'WAP'
- * Select your phone model (e.g., W810i)
- * Click 'Submit'
- * Select your country (e.g., USA)
- * Select your network (e.g., Cingular)
- * Type in the security measure code that you see on the page and then your phone number
- * When the new settings are sent to your phone, select 'Accept'
- * On your phone, go to Settings -> Connectivity -> Internet settings -> Internet profiles
- * A new profile should now appear on the list (e.g. 'Cingular Express')
- * Select this new profile (e.g. 'Cingular Express')
- * Go back to Settings -> Connectivity -> Settings for Java
- * Select the new profile just created (E.g, 'Cingular Express')
